Mounts Welch and Dickey Hike
This is the first of three preparation hikes for the trip to Baxter State Park in August. Each of these three hikes will increase the distance, elevation, and ruggedness of the hike. Our first hike is a loop trail over two peaks following ledges and rocky scrambles. You should already be comfortable with more than 1500’ elevation gain (e.g. Mount Monadnock along Toll Road) and open vistas. This is a southern White Mountains classic.
