Appalachian Trail

We will start in the Bigelow Preserve near Eustis, Maine. We'll follow the Fire Warden's Trail from Stratton Brook Pond to the col between West Peak and Avery Peak of the Bigelows and then follow the Appalachian Trail to Monson, Maine. This is a seven day trek with no restocking along the way.

About the event

Current Itinerary:

Day One: 7.3 miles, ~4000 elevation gain (optional ½ mile rt to visit West Peak)

Day Two: 7.7 miles, ~1,400' elevation gain

Day Three: 10 miles, <1000' elevation gain

Day Four: 9.7 miles, ~1,300' elevation gain

Day Five: 9.0 miles, ~2,200' elevation gain

Day Six: 13.0 miles, ~2,000' elevation gain - we will look for options to better balance days 6/7

Day Seven: 7.7 miles, <1,000' elevation gain

Day Eight (optional day hike): 13.3 miles, ~4,100' elevation gain

Note: We may move the optional day hike to the first day.
